I have to admit that here at Alvas we are kind of pack rats. We don’t really like to waste anything, especially beautiful wood that we select for our ballet barres. But invariably, there’s always short pieces left over or we have to cut some Checks, Splits, or Knots out of a piece to make it worthy to be an Alvas Barre. We carefully inspect every Ballet Barre we’ve ever produced. So short pieces are used to make Rosin Boxes. Rosin Boxes are all but obsolete, however, they’re still selling quite well. Go figure. We have items like Skateboard Hooks to put your skateboard on the wall, Modular Wine Racks, and then ultimately we donate a lot of the wood to schools and people that are teaching woodworking.
